Today was awesome. We just had a mission conference, for the first
time ever. The whole mission came here to Cusco and we all got to see
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland. So cool! That guy is a spiritual giant, and it
was such a good conference. We talked a lot about the impact of mission
work on our own lives and the lives of others. Elder Holland has a huge
testimony about mission work, and he got into it. It was really cool.
We also saw Elder Costa and Elder Godoy, of the seventy, who shared
testimonies about the Book of Mormon and living prophets respectively. Tomorrow
we have stake conference with Elder Holland as well. There's also a
couple of rumors flying around that Elder Rasband will come. That's
going to be really cool, I'm super excited.
I
don't know if you saw the pictures I uploaded a couple of days ago. It's
under a folder titled "Megafort". I felt like I needed to explain a
little bit about that. The other day we got home and we had finished
planning and stuff but then we were super bored. In our room though, we
have a ton of mattresses and blankets since people usually stay with us.
So we decided to convert all of them into a giant blanket fort. We used
everything we could find, sofas, an umbrella, weights, we looped one
blanket through the ceiling. It was really fun. Sometimes I feel like
missionaries are just really tall 8 year olds. :)
